I love this raised bed with a couch underneath! It would be an awesome use of space in a small room. I like how they used a Dual Complementary color scheme with the red, green, black, and white.
I was feeling a little crafty this past Saturday so I decided to make a lamp for my room! My room is very small and doesn’t have a window so it gets a little gloomy and cramped sometimes. I decided to use Task Lighting to bring an emphasis to the corner of my room where I keep my jewelry (because I am a jewelry aficionado). It highlights what was previously a dark, boring part of my room and I love it!
Inspiration
We all have things that inspire us. Although this blog is going to be used for my Interior Design class (which I am thrilled to be in), I am excited to really search out and identify what inspires me. Things that inspire me: people changing and improving themselves, Mother Teresa, laughter, architecture, Audrey Hepburn, driven women, Gandhi and books are just a few to start off with! This past summer I was able to spend 6 weeks in Quito, Ecuador volunteering in various orphanages. The children and babies that quickly entered into a special spot in my heart continue to inspire me in my day to day life. Their daily attitude of happiness, even in their less than favorable circumstances, reminds me to count my blessings every day.
